The Forte Big Band, Charleston's Favorite 17 Piece Big Band, pays tribute to "The Voice," Frank Sinatra. Join us as we wish Frank Sinatra a Happy 110th Birthday! The Forte Big Band, in this yearly concert, will perform great hits like "Fly Me to the Moon," "Lady is a Tramp," and "My Way". This band is the flagship musical organization of Forte Jazz Lounge. Dive into the brilliant and diverse career of one of jazz history's most important voices: tenor saxophonist Joe Henderson. This special evening at Forte Jazz Lounge pays tribute to his profound influence, which spanned over four decades of modern jazz. Leading this musical exploration is acclaimed saxophonist Mark Sterbank, whose aim is to guide the audience through Henderson's distinct eras—from his iconic Blue Note sessions to his later Grammy-winning work. Sterbank will be presenting a deep cut of Henderson's repertoire, featuring his popular compositions, some lesser-known gems, and the standards he re-interpreted so brilliantly. Joining Sterbank is an all-star rhythm section: Kevin Bales on Piano, Brett Belanger on Bass, and Quentin Baxter on Drums. Prepare for an evening of sophisticated, hard-swinging, and profoundly musical jazz.

The Forte Jazz Quartet backs up Joe Clarke as he performs from the vast collection of Sinatra Hits! This is one of Forte Jazz Lounge's most popular shows. You'll hear iconic songs made famous by Frank Sinatra like; Fly me to the Moon, I've Got you Under My Skin and Lady is a Tramp. Great Composers from that era will be on full display; Harold Arlen, Cole Porter Gershwin, Mancini to name a few. Join us for this fun and romantic evening full of great music. The Forte Big Band under the direction of Frank Duvall will be helping to ring in the new year in style. Joe Clarke and Jenna Bohannon will be fronting the band singing all your favorites. This event has been a sell out event every year since we opened in 2019.
